Advice Needed Usals and gbox 400

Gbox 400 can this positioner be used with usals? Or is this just diseqc 1.2

No. USALS is a whole different kettle of fish. It needs far more electronics to calculate where to send the dish than a simple pulse counter. There are far too many variables with the jack arm... Degrees per pulse, how the jack is fitted, type if polar mount etc.

Why are you so bothered about USALS?

Was just wondering. As I have always been able to count the clicks and get myself on sat. But at the moment it seems to be 12-15 clicks a degree.

And thought usals would be the lazy way.

Nope, will never work with USALS. And number of clicks will vary depending on where you are on the arc. With the arm extended and the dish pointing west, you'll have less clicks per degree than on the eastern side.
