Hi,
my network card in DreamBox doesn't work any more and therefore I want to buy USB one. Which one will work on DB without problems? In other words, which one has drivers for linux on PowerPC?

Good question. Adventurous. No idea about your USB NIC though :( . Can't imagine it's something too many people have tried.

Might be worth checking out some Linux on MAC stuff though, as that uses a variant of the PowerPC chipset I believe.

Hi r_13,

Are you sure the DB network interface has died?

Have you checked your Dreambox communications settings are OK?
Have you tried a flash erase and re-input all settings (including communications)?
Have you tried loading/booting a different image?
Are you using multiboot?

Finally (for the moment anyway), what do you think killed it (if it is indead dead)?

73 & good luck.

Hi r_13,

Mmmmm oh dear!
I don't really know what to say, other than, I'm sorry to hear that!

You are a bit stuck without the ethernet port.
Guess you'll have to try what 'stick has suggested.

73 & good luck.
