I used the BHA software that came bundled with my DVD writer - Sonic MyDVD, but I'm certain Nero or similar would work fine.
Notes:
1) Ngrab will give you a single file, unlike the .ts files which are split into 1G size.
2) You cannot use you HD recorder whilst using Ngrab as they appear to be mutually exclusive.
3) Once installed on your PC, and running, Ngrab should show an icon in the bottom right of the toolbar. Once successfully recording the icon will change to red.
