very new to Dream box

got my self a dm500-s from friend.wanted me to see could get it up and running,never worked with dreambox,have worked with viewsat,sonicview, nfusion,coolsat,fortec,captiveworks,etc.have dreamup application loaded,but not sure about a new working file,you guys speak a different language when it comes to a dreambox.also did manage to scan my satellites.I guess I am wanting to know if all needed is for me to load file??Thanks for your help.
