First of all VRS is a great bit of software BUT its got one bloody annoying bug(?) in it. When I shut it down (or have to reboot the computer for any reason) it wipes all my config changes and resets the start location to Slough of all places. Very useful if you live in Slough - bloody useless when you live 400 miles away!

Ive been through the options and I cant see any obvious ways to stop it - Ive only got one receiver location set - HOME is 55.xxxN 2.xxxW which is correct for here.

Surely there must be a way of altering this infuriating behaviour??

There is one glaringly obvious answer, but I doubt SWMBO would countenance a radical change of QTH.

I can't remember exactly how but you can make the settings using the web browser then copy those settings to a dialogue entry box in the VRS control. It's described somewhere in the help or on the VRS forum but I don't have access to it at the moment. It allows you to set all aspects of the browser view which you get on your 1st access (until cookies are set).

Ah this looks promising

http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/documentation/webserver/WebSiteOptions.aspx

Its not very intuitive at all - it would be much easier to just have a button saying put these settings on the server!
