Looks like he blew up the whole of the Southern UK in the process :-rofl2

Must get my antenna higher as I can only see out to about 70 miles with it about 8ft off the ground, all the houses around, and only being at about 35m AMSL.

Still would like to get the spatter maps working - I think I have tried most of what Chris suggested without success, but, as I said in the trouble-shooting thread, some of my VSR ini files don't seem as large as his and I don't know why

I have setup vrs initial settings for mobile and desktop.

As well as suppressing the altitude stalk, and my drop pin location is setup.

If you pm me your latitude and longitude to 6 places after the (dot) . I will edit an xml for you to paste back in.

And we can see if that solves it.

The general topography around you might be partly to blame. Are you in any sort of valley, or are there woodlands nearby as they will absorb the lower frequencies, especially in damp weather.

I don't think that it's so much the topography as the fact that all the buildings around (360 degrees) mean that anything line-of-sight below an elevation of about 15-20 degrees (especially from the SSE to the SSW, is effectively blanked off by them - and so signals at 1090MHz won't penetrate them unless they are very strong, and thus quite local. Therefore getting the antenna quite a bit higher (without making it too obvious to the neighbours to avoid also drawing attention to the adjacent 5 sat dishes, so I need to spray it green/brown) is the next step.

Ok mate I will do, but first I will need your latitude and longitude, to six places after the dot .xxxxxx then I can write it for you.

Hopefully that will solve the Splat problem.

@jeallen01 i have sent you a pm with the xml file, just keep it safe for now, i will help you install it tomorrow.
Thx, have replied to the conversation post but, now, I am confused because it seems to have come through as a text, and not an xml, file - or am I misinterpreting what I see? I will send you my personal email address so that you can send it to me as an attachment.

It's the text you need. To cut and paste in to the virtual radar server program.

In the options.

Under the website option > initial settings and paste all of the text I sent you, including all the symbols etc.
