want to buy a new system(help)

hi people, im new to this and aint got a clue, can someone recomend a full system and tell me what else i will need to get it up and running like cam, cards etc. i have about 500 pounds available

£500 will get you a reasonable 80cm motorised system and maybe a card, but you would have to fit it yourself for that price.

How clueless are you really ?

ive just ordered a technomate 55000dapci 1metre dish magic cam, lnb and fitted £629 do u thik thats ok?

Sounds reasonable, would personally go for a matrix reloaded instead of the Magic Module, but that is personal choice. You will also need to consider a Programmer, Infinity Poenix USB or similar and perhaps a couple of fun 6 cards and a Titanium.

whats a titanium? i have an elvis programmer but havnt used it for a year or so where can i get the cards from?

Elvis will be fine you just need the latest version of TJ's MultiProg, the Titanium is the latest and probably one of the most powerful cards available at the moment.

The Matrix Reloaded is more flexible than the Magic (many have converted their magic to MR), The Magic does have one advantage, in that it can emulate Conax, but you need a card for everything else, whereas the Matrix appears to be able to emulate near everything else and only requires a card for Conax. :)

right then got everythig sorted with my matrix cam ive programmed it with the 2 funcard 6's now whats the titanium card for??????? and what is the conax ? i bet your all thinking what a drip some of the questions i ask lol sorry
