Want to get motorised, what must I ask for in the shop?

I want to motorise my 120cm offset dish.
My receiver says it is Stabs-USALS and DiSEqC 1.2 compatible. A cable goes from there to a DiSEqC switch and on to the LNB. Two fixed dishes are also connected to the DiSEqC switch.
What do I need to buy to motorise my dish?

My Satellite Setup

I would not advise using a DiseqC motor on a 1.2m dish, particularly if it is a heavy one. Better a 36v motor, so you would need a separate positioner to drive it.

My dish is actually 112 cm tall and 102 cm wide, and seems quite light (cost about £30 quid locally, including tripod mount, so there can't be much metal in it! :D ) What do you reckon?

Yep - that's all well and good and I'm sure that a DiseqC motor would turn it just fine.

BUT the wind loading remains the same whether the dish is made of steel, ally or cheese. You will find the small plastic gearing rounding off quite readily in only moderate winds, irrespective of manufacturers claims I'm afriad. :(

Thanks both of you for your helpful replies. Where I live it can sometimes get seriously windy. So I've taken a management decision (don't tell the wife) to go for a non-DiSeqC motor.

Hmmm.. now I've got some more learning to do. Found V Boxes that convert DiSecQ to 36V 4 wires, so that sounds great - my receiver can drive that. Then elsewhere suddenly I'm reading about 18 inch (or whatever) actuators or jacks. Do I need one?

And if I want to keep my two fixed dishes in operation, can I continue to use a DiSecQ switch? If so, presumably the V-box must be on the dish side of the switch?

You can use either an H to H motor, or Actuator, a 0/12v switch can be used to select either motor or switch.

Thanks again! Now edging ever so slowly up the learning curve....
<edited to remove other questions, on the grounds of senility>
What are the pros and cons of H-H motors versus actuators?
