Nasa researchers posted on the Nasa Spaceflight forum that when lasers were fired into the EmDrive's resonance chamber, some of the laser beams had travelled faster than the speed of light, which would mean the EmDrive could have produced a warp bubble.

A post by another user analysing the EmDrive experiment said "the math behind the warp bubble apparently matches the interference pattern found in the EmDrive".

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Given the style of how it works, it's more of an Impulse engine than Warp drive, because it seems that it generates impulses that create thrust and thus movement, so, more like the little red glowing bits on the back of the Enterprise than the big blue bits... :)

Maybe not.

Initial results suggest that the force reported in previous EmDrive experiments may not be the result of some magical invisible force, but rather the interaction of cables and Earth’s magnetic field.

“Our results show that the magnetic interaction from not sufficiently shielded cables or thrusters are a major factor that needs to be taken into account,” the team writes in their paper.

Calculating the forces between their cables and the Earth’s magnetic field, they surmised that the force they noticed – a few micro-Newtons – could be explained by the process.

“[T]he German researchers noted that when they changed the direction that the EmDrive was facing, the direction of the thrust changed, but the level of thrust did not,” Motherboard noted.

“This clearly indicates that the 'thrust' is not coming from the EmDrive but from some electromagnetic interaction,” the researchers added.
