Was Astra D ever repositioned?

Can someone answere me a quick question...

I was under the impression that Astra reduced / moved the footprint of the "D" bird at the request of the BBC. Is this right?

I doubt it. The footprints are a function of a carefully designed & engineered parabolic reflector on the satellite. You cant just tweak footprints after launch, (unless the satellite is engineered to allow steerable spot beams- like Eurobird 1.)

I habvent seen any indication the 2D footprint has reduced to any great degree over the last few years.
