Watching Sky UK on dreambox with official card

Hi everyone,

Everything is in the title.
I have an FTV card for ITV, CH4&5.
Is it possibleto watch, and record these channels on a dreambox ?
If yes, with which image ?

I have seen some images compatible with NDS but I think they are talking about Italy NDS and not UK. Has anyone tried it ?

It is not possible to decrypt S*Y UK N*S broadcasts on anything other than an official S*Y Digibox.

Although there have been rumours that other versions of N*S have been opened (in South America?) there is, to my knowledge no evidence of any N*S transmission open on an unofficial box (such as the Dreambox), and as there is no such thing as an N*S CAM (for europe at least) the possibilities are very restricted for the immediate future.

I'm sure though that it will not remain that way forever...

The Italian version of Sky uses a different encryption than UK sky.Maybe thats what is confusing you.

Videoguard is in use for UK Sky and this isnt cracked (As yet).Sky Italia uses Mediaguard 2 (Seca 2) which is watchable at the moment.

So for the FTV channels you would need a sky box or a freeview box

S*y Italia uses both S*ca2 and N*S, but is planning to drop S*ca2 by the end of the year.

S*y Italia in S*ca2 is very much cracked!!!

Thanks for your answers.

Just to put the record straight, I know Sky UK is not cracked and will never be.
I was just asking if the dreambox is able to emulate a SKY UK CAM to be able to use an official subcription card in its slot.

It was possible at the very end of GEN1 card with a phoenix adapter.
I hope an updated version would come out soon.

Who knows whether we will see a working CAM emulation, certainly if there is one, it should turn up for the dreambox. Would save me a bit of space.

This is like stepping two steps backwards by using NDS.

In our country Viasat is going full with NDS soon and customers are dropping like flies right now, no wonder, who wants two receivers to watch TV?

One for NDS and another one for the rest.
