What wideband LNBs are best for this dish? What is the max depth size LNB that can be fitted where the secondary reflector support arms are? Will the Inverto LNBs fit at those points on the LNB rail?

Astra 2 LNB would be at L-9.6
Astra 1 LNB at L-0.6
Hotbird LNB at R5.5
Eutelsat 9 LNB at R9.5*

*I think this LNB would have to be at R10 but should still pick up the widebeam channels there.

OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

You need to use the LNB's designed for that type of dish, as the signals coming off the second reflector will be 180 degrees out of phase,(like from a normal satellite dish) this may or may not cause problems at the receiver with some transponders or satellites.

That is only true if the satellite you are trying to pick up has circularly polarising. Channels with horizontal and vertical polarising should be fine. I had one of these dishes about 9 years ago but the only place it could be mounted with its in box wall mount had a building in the way where I used to live and the installers couldn't get the dish to stay where it was with a pole above the roof mount so the dish never got used and I ended up selling it. In the flat where I now live this dish should work fine(I hope). I just can't remember what the clearing is between the LNB rail and the supporting arms under the main reflector.

My T55 just setup for fun! This isn't my main system. I prefere to use my 60cm motorised system.

28e - very strong
23e - rebel TV can sometimes be weak! Stronger TPs such as OCKO are fine all the time.
19e - very strong
13e - very strong
9e - very strong
5e Zeonbud T2MI works with black ultra lnb! But a weak signal
1w black ultra lnb required as this is a weaker sat
5w - Italian & French multistream works fine

Using atemio diseqc 1.1 on Octogan Sf4008

Thanks Mike. Looks like you got that dish maxed out there.

Well I got the dish but there was no wall mount bracket included inside the box. That means I got to spend another £28. Grrr. :D No wonder the dish itself was so cheap compared to other sellers. Anyway I have put together the dish but I have two bolts and nuts left over. They were for the tilt back plate bracket thing. I assume they are spares. Can't see where else they go. By the way the included instructions are crap. They are worse than an Ikea flat pack instruction sheet.

I have one 50mm wall bracket. You can get it for a glass of beer plus shipping.

Thanks for the offer but your wall mount won't work. I need a pole mount of 40mm. Had I known there was no wall mount I would have bought one at the same time I bought the dish and saved myself £9 in postage.

If only you were closer.

You mentioned earlier you were now in a flat, where is the dish going to be positioned ?

If on / within a balcony you could get away with a post clamped securely to the railings. 40mm is a common outside diameter from any steel merchant.

Ground floor flat. There are two possible places the dish can go, either side of my bedroom window. Might even have a go at installing it myself.
