80cm motorised Inverto dish with Dark Motor full metal gears, Xtrend 9500HD, Amiko Alien 2+, Amiko Alien 8900, Moded Zone 2 dish with multi LNB goodness! 50 inch full HD LCD and loads of other stuff! lol

Glasgow,ish!
Was looking after my daughter who's heading for something as she's been crabbit all day, had CBBC HD on in the background when I heard it fall silent, turned around to look at the TV and the Xtrend was displaying "Tune Failed", I thought maybe they had all of a sudden moved the channel to another transponder. I quickly made my way through to our bedroom & put on the Alien 8900 box which was handy because it had been left on CBBC HD also, it displayed the same "tune failed" message (This box is running off my $ky multi LNB dish so this ruled out the motorised dish going a bit mental), made my way back into the living room whilst saying to the missus that the nutters must have moved the channel, as I did the channel came back on the Xtrend. This happened at 16:45 till about 16:50, did anybody else notice anything on 28E at this time?

Didn´t notice anything, as I´m watching the recording of the golf from 12.5 W as I was out working on a Sunday!
Problem could be the Alien in the bedroom, they can cause all sorts of problems!

I was watching the football on BBC One HD, my TV said no signal then no service, on BBC Two HD and BBC East Midlands as well.
All BBC channels were knocked out for everyone.

Was watching 1 hd, checked others, indeed seemed like every bbc went black. Sign of some major weakness somewhere in their system? Or using only one uplink for everything, and someone stole the dish and it took some time to install a new one :O)

Storms over London probably knocking out the uplinks.

Ah, not just me then. I was watching the prematch analysis before NI/Poland when it all went black and I couldn't get anything on 28.2E. I assumed that the Diseqc switch had glitched (never happened before, but you never know...) so I restarted the solo2 and by the time it came back up everything was there again. Am glad I don't have to swap out LNBs or switches, check cable connections or realign dishes :) (Obviously I like doing these things, but only when I *choose* to, not when *forced* to :) ).

Thank you for this post! Mine also cut out last night.

Ive recently had Sky Q installed and they replaced the entire dish and assumed they had done a bad job.. Apologies to them!

We also had problems with BBC 1 via 28E yesterday but just assumed it was the heavy rain clouds to the south (no rain at the time of outage) so switched to BBC 1 HD on Freeview (Crystal Palace) and all was fine. Didn't check any other channels though.

That´s a good catch from Helsinki! What brand of terrestrial aerial is that, I want one!

Haha, I'm in the UK at the moment, although had I have been in Finland I might have been using the Slingbox which is connected to the Sky box and Freeview...
