Is it my ears or do some shows from fox like Family Guy, X-files, Futurama and the Simpsons sometimes have small audio glitches more easily heard on long constant sounds?
Sort of like someone flicking their adam's apple - its kinda hard to describe

HI there, that sounds like what happends when my DB7000S has a lot of BER (Bitrate Error Recovery) numbers over 300, sounds like its catching up etc..

Might be your lnb/dish is getting partially obscured by something or getting blown about, causing small signal annomallies.

Thanks for replying Wombatter, I know my dish could be better mounted - and unfortunately I don't think my manhattan has BER, just signal and quality levels.

Funny thing is though, I sure I've heard it on terrestrial channels as well but only on FOX shows, like the "new" simpsons episodes on channel 4.
I thought it might be some "hidden" copy protection FOX were adding to their shows - But maybe its that I'm paranoid and need my ears testing :)

Regards
