TPS was in via1 for a few days but it's now gone back to using the 16 byte key (some people call this the AES key), so it's back to TPScrypt2.

But it's a different 16 byte key than they used before. You can find the new 16 byte key in many places - the problem is getting it coded into the many different systems that people are using.

The operating key is still 8 bytes as it was before, and as far as I know the 8 byte key in use has not changed for some time.

In addition to the 8 byte Op Key, TPScrypt also use a 16 byte AES key which has changed many times in the past few months. You need both the corrrect AES key and the Op key to clear TPScrypt channels on id 007c00.

Since I put up my original reply above TPS channels can now also be cleared on the via2 ID 015000.

Dear Burnham Beech,

As you said the porblem is how to coded the 16byte key into my system. Via1 can not support 16 byte. How to modify my system to match the 16byte?

Thanks

You need to find out if a TPScrypt patch for your hardware has been released for your receiver. It is not something you can do yourself.

It is easier to use the new via2 gold file.

Read all about the via2 Gold file in this thread:
www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/forum/showthread.php?t=40579

The AES key changed again on 26 April and it will probably be changed by TPS every few days from now on. Trying to keep firmware patches up to date is likely to be a pointless task from now on. Use the via2 file as I advised earlier.

On _http://www.mavitunasat.net, there is a patch for your receiver called Illusion-c3-3-36.zip ( archive ) dated from 24.02.2005. It might help you, there is also a loader for Illusion.

When you open the site click on : A-D?G?TAL UYDU C?HAZ YAZILIMLARI

Its the first line on the site, then just choose Illusion from liste !!

Don't know what that table of 4-byte values was, but I didn't like it much.

Sorry, I don't know how to modify your particular receiver.

Have you tried the new via1/via2 gold file refered to in other threads. This file opens all TPS channels in the Echostar receiver with embedded viaccess cam and it might work with your receiver.

Dear Burnham Beech,

I want to confirm that multivision used only via1 before April. 18? Now is the via1 and via2 mixture? My e-mail is hinglong@hotmail.com . Could we contact through e-mail?

Multivision has not used pure via1 for some time. It is now using TPScrypt and via2. TPScrypt requires the 16 bytes AES key referred to in the earlier posts.

There is no need for email communications, all questions can be put on this board and I or anyone else will answer if possible.
