Hi,

I am completely new to this and need some advice. I want a dish that will pick up Astra and Hotbird without the need for a motorised system.

I live in East Yorkshire so firstly will a 60ch dish be ok or do I need an 80cm unit.

Also, I have seen dish set ups that allow you to pick up 4 satellites, 3 Astra and Hotbird - is this worth doing. I am not sure what channels are transmitted on the other Astra sats

Any help would be hugely appreciated

Thanks

A 0.60m with monobloc LNb should do you fine for these two birds.

For Multi-LNb set up, this would require a larger dish of between ideally 80cm and 90cm with 20 degree look angle bracket. A common set up and can consist of 3 x LNb's on a multi bracket arm for 13e, 19e and 28e satellites. Another arrangement can be 1w, 5e, 13e & 19e OR with careful choice of LNB's 28e, 19e, 16e and 13e.

There's plenty of info on here that can help you

Paul :)
