Don't know as each sample from each manufacturer is very different.

You don't have much to choose between, it's either Invacom, Inverto or MTI to choose from.

I have Inverto and it's cleary much better than anything else i evaluated, but that's because i picked the best sample out of 50 LNBs, tried each one of them.

I gained i beleive 2db C/N by going from my old Echostar DVR-7000 with Invacom to a Relook 400s with Inverto White Tech C120.

http://www.invacom.com/products.htm

Single C120:SNF-31 (GOOD)
Twin C120: TWF-31 (BETTER)
Quad C120: QDF-31 (BEST)

Don't buy the Quattro, they are no good for your application

Cheers

And the ones that were no good, you sent them back yes?:D
Seriously though,I have tried inverto over here and i find them cheap and cheerful.I mean it works well on all Sky channels, but for 2D invacom is better,in my experience. What model are you dealing with? I cant remember the number but it is very small and white.

I know that the question is about C120s, but with the 40mm LNBs', I tried the Invacom TWH-031 vs. Inverto Silver Tech Twin 0.3db and found that the Inverto also gained 2db C/N, with better reception on Astra 2d channels(wouldn't pixellate at nightfall). This was with my old 1.20m dish. The Inverto White Tech Twin 0.4db. also gave good results(better than the Invacom) but the Silver Tech gives better signal gain on weaker transponders.

Yes, I think the Invacom seems to lack in the 40mm dept. In fact they are reported to be very inefficent on offsets over 1.6m. I can't comment on 1.2m dishes as its not in my specific area of expertise (if it don't get sky then I ain't intrested!!) Please don't judge them for C120s from your 40mm experience, I have yet to find a better performer for cyprus (but always willing to try them out)

Cheers

Invacom never performed good for me, difference was no picture or black, Nilesat was the biggest improvement.

Tried both the single model and twin model, twin was a little better, but not much.

I bet if i ordered 50 Invacoms i could pick the best one if i am lucky and perform the same as the Inverto i have now.

Inverto White Tech 0.2dB C120 version, the Sflange, small white model.

They said earlier 0.3dB in the specs but they changed to 0.2dB in the marketing brochures.

Looks nice on a Fibo also as the Invacom is pretty clumsy.

All i can say that all this talk about which LNB is the best is very odd as some samples perform better than others and you migh end up lucky and get a great Invacom or you could get a great Inverto or a disaster LNB.

They all perform the same really, it's just that the quality control isn't the best on none of the LNBs today that is sold to consumers.

As an installer i have had the chance to try various C120 LNB's on my 1.2m CM dish/feedhorn and found Invacom to be the best overall performer...

Strongly disagree with the above.
I've installed many Invacom LNB's and the quality control is remarkably good. The is only a very slight variation between them. Recently I tried three in quick succession on a 1.8m dish and was hard pressed to find any practical differences, none that would mean anything in end results to the average viewer.
Quad C120 Invacom is the best around, in my opinion.
