Looks like a wifi dish. Get a decent gale and it'll be in his garden - there is way too much pole above the top mount.

Sorry for sounding stupid, but why would you put up a wifi dish? would it be for a wireless broadband provider you mean?

80cm Motorised.
Several small Dishes.
Much else.

Our Wireless Broadband dishes are far less ungainly than that.

They're just small, unobtrusive solid white jobbies with an almost imperceptible horn (Oooh, Matron!).

Looking closely, it appears that there's a third bracket hidden behind the ladder, so perhaps not as bad as it at first would seem. Probably not too much wind resistance on the mesh dish.

Just go across, ring the doorbell, and ask the same very question directly to the guy, as simple as that. :-lol

the conical scalar seems to be in opposite direction to the dish, strange.... not sure what dish it is. o_O

I've seen similar arrangements for 5GHz P2P, there's possibly a transceiver mounted directly behind the reflector, looks a bit fat and stubby for anything else.
