My Satellite Setup
Starsat SR-X200CI and 80cm dish (0.3db LNB) on Hispasat 30w

Hi Everyone,

I have just gone motorised, but for some reason I cannot get some sats.

What sats should I be able to get with an 80cm Dish and 0.3dB LNB?

I am on Suffolk Coast

Any help is greatly appreciated, as I think my motor is not quite aligned properly, even though the signal is good on most sats.

I cant get
Nilesat 7w
Amos 4w
Arabsat 26e
Also tried 22w, but cant get anything on there either
Also nothing further east than 28e

Is it that these sats are too weak, or should I be able to get some/all of these?

Regards

I would have thought Hellas at 39e should be easy to get. Try 12524v 27500, I think that's the strongest TP.

AM22 at 53 E is an easy catch - well at least the two high bit rate tp's carrying Russian programming.

7W - 80cm is too small for Nilesat.
4W - the european beams of Amos 2 are the only ones visible in the UK. Again your dish may be too small.
26E - make sure you are looking for channels off Arabsat 3A. I can get these up here so will be in range for suffolk.
22W - Most channels are operating on the African beams. 12735H 16440 2/3 should be in range though.

West beam channels yes. 4w probably not.

When looking for a new satellite, you always need to check that you are looking for channels firing towards the UK or north west Europe..

Anything listed on my digital site

www.digitalsat.co.uk

should be within range of most of the UK with an 80cm dish. There are one or two slots missing as I have trees in the way out for the Atlantic birds.
