What Software would be best? Prog-Dvb Or My- Theatre.

Helllo All,

Im setting up a Skystar-1 card for my brother in his computer, what would be the beast software to use, to view the channels and to also move the dish.

Im picking up on little things I've read about, what card and what software to use but Im left a little confused I would be very grateful if anybody could give some advice on what software to view the channels and also what software to use to drive the dish. Would I also need to buy a positioner to get the dish to stop at what satellite I requested.

Have a look at the polls in this section. You'll soon see which are the most popular viewing applications. There are also diseqc plugins for the Skystar 2 to move your motor, so I suspect that there are some for the SS1.

If you get a diseqc motor, then you will not need a separate positioner.
