Im a complete newbie at motorised systems, and have just brought myself a Echostar 2200 cli Viaccess system with 1 metre dish.
Which way round does the dish go? Its a Televes off set dish. (10-60)
Its slightly oval in shape and the lnb fits to 3 sides of the dish.
Is it the same way as a skydigital dish longways?.
Thanks Paul.
Also can any one tell me what my exact latitude is. Im in Kilkelly co mayo Ireland. Thanks Paul.

Just looked at the Televes site and it would appear that the dish is perhaps an older model, the current 1 metre dishes have a single bottom mounted boom arm. These dishes tend to be taller than they are wide, unlike the Sky minidish.

To find your exact location go to http://www.heavens-above.com/countries.asp and to calculate the exact Elevation and Azimuth go to http://www.smw.se and download the free calculator.

Rolf

PS. Yes vertical dimension will be the greatest on most offset dishes.

PS. Have a look at this thread, there is a useful description in it for motorised installation http://www.satellites.co.uk/scripts/webforum/DCForumID3/120.html
