okay, this leads me stumbling into newbie question number 3. i know from teaching english at the airbus site here that the nose cones and parts of the vertical tail plane of their planes are fibreglass as this material allows radar and radio signals to get through....does that mean the this material and other plastics (not PVC) are 'invisible' to satellite signals? covering the dish from view with fibreglass is an option, even if i have to rip the body job from one of the souped up opel mantas parked outside! To have it indoors is not possible as a metre diameter dish at the window would cast me into darkness. I would like to thank you for the suggestions and the reception maps. you have been very patient and generous with your help....please, don't stop!
