I have a StarSat SR-X200CI+ receiver
Model ID = E224
HW = 7.00
SW = 12.71.4
Ever since satsw.net closed down, there has not been any reliable site
for software updates. (satdw.com isnt frequently updated)
Initially based on the performance of the receiver and regular updates
available, I had recommended this model of receiver to a number of
friends - now I am having second thoughts about this.
I have seen a firmware file (SW version 12.73) for SR-X200CI (HW ver 2.00) claiming to autoupdate Multivision AES key at funfiles.ws. I wonder whether someone has tried it and been successful. If so, could you please let me know so that I could erase the HW ID in my receiver to make it HW2.00 and load this firmware till an "official" version comes out.
If anyone comes across a firmware update which enables viewing of Multivision on Hotbird for the above model, please let me know.
Incidentally, clones of the receiver include Condor 5000 and Omax 850.
