LOL, playing around with my scanner and trying to upload some old photos to my site. :) Ive found the Thompson to be better, but really would be very surprised if a change of LNb would cure the problem, what receiver is it again?

I have rewired every bloody thing today .... No sharp bends & no unnessary joints...... Still poop

If none of this works I'm gonna give you my amex card # & you can have the problem :p

Slap up a 1 metre dish, if you get pixellation with that, then your receiver is deffo at fault. :)

A quad LNB is considerably havier than the single output jobby.

Is it possible that the weight has pulled the dish down slightly?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Also possible the focal length of the LNB does not match the dish

I take it the dealer that sold you the LNB is unwilling to come out and check the install for suitability of their product to your needs (Trade Descriptions , Consumer Act and all that )

Umm ...... Lets not go down the finger pointing route ....

Triax (Big) minidish
Cambridge Quad

When I installed the caboodle I put a nut & bolt thro the holes where the plastic whats it should of been ...... This elongated the distance between the dish face & the LNB by about a millimeter .......... Surely that doesn't make a diff?

I understand you have to be precise wiv these things ....... But in reality we are looking at about a 0.75mm adjustment :-0

What says you ?

Cheers

The Sky design quad LNBs should work on all minidishes, it is probably re-allignment required. but not always easy without a meter, at least to get it spot on.

We do have at least a couple of members up that way who have meters, perhaps one of them will look in on the thread. :)
