I want to buy a sat card for my PC, but I would like to hear from other users as to which is best for me. I need it to take a MR cam, to record programs to my Hard drive and be compatible with Diseq 1.2 or Usals to run my H to H motorised dish.

One of the advantages of these cards is that they can use 'softcams'
unless you have something specific in mind ??

The Skystar 2 often referred to as SS2 is one of the most popular cards and used together with PROGDVB software with the suitable Plugins will give you what you need. You dont need a MR cam for this setup. With this you can write to hard drive in MPG format.

Best card to get is the Nexus-S or Skystar-1 for many reasons.Also easy setup,stability,low cpu loads,video out,nice remote in ProgDVB,ect ect.Ian buck said:
