Which E2 box for my shortlist?

Does 4K SE have S2X? Haven't seen these for sale yet. I doubt they'll do "no Stream Relay" either (Solo2 didn't).

The only difference between 900 and 920 that I can see is the additional CAM slots...

920 has 2 tuner slots so can have a HUGE combination of different configs.

VU+ sell the DVB-S2X Tuner, but I don't think any sellers have it already in the UNO SE 4K

PS. Solo2 now does "no stream relay"

I must have missed out - just - on the Solo2 relay thing. Oh well.

Didn't realise the 920 had an extra tuner slot, so yes... that's a lot of things that can be recorded, streamed and watched at the same time!

Ahh... so that means the DM900 with the 'Triple' tuner would do me, and about 50 notes cheaper than the DM920

Watch out when you get one, there is a DVB-S2 and a DVB-S2X, both have the DVB-C tuner and are the same price.
so grab the S2X

Also watch out for the clones, ignore eBay, Amazon.de and German shops seem to be the place to get one.

I do know what is "Stream relay" but got to know what is "Quad PiP", when it is activated you get 4 screens available. Sound is turned on automatically from channel you point by remote. Interesting option. It is possible to make many 4x lists and chose them as you wish.

That is my GB UHD Quad 4k with latest image from TeamBlue. One of those channels on the picture is coming from CAM-module.

OpenVix don't support Zgemma, if that's an image you use.

Nor for the newer Dreamboxes, in fact decent images are pretty thin on the ground for the dreambox tbh

There is Dream Elite which isn't available on any other box. That's not bad, have a look at that on the DM900 on YouTube. Also OpenATV.

I personally like OpenPLI but that's not available.

What about the VU+ UNO SE 4K.
Lots of images, but none for sale with the DVB-S2X tuner yet.

Yeah noticed Dream Elite, but haven't looked at it yet, Somebody has 'created' an image for OpenPli, but as that is not official, god knows about support. I've had OpenATV on my Solo2 before and never liked it.
Think if I was getting another box, it would have to be DVB-S2X, so will have to hope VU+ release their DVB-S2X tuners soon.

I'm not fussed on OpenATV, but I didn't try changing the skin. I like a simple image with no nonsense on it, I don't want to see the weather when I change channels. I want to know what channel I'm on, what sat and signal readings.

Not a fan of unofficial images either. Tend to be full of bloat and not very well polished.

I really should try make an image one day.

Great receiver. is well built, looks the part, extremely quiet. Best I have ever had. Used to buy Dreambox but they out priced themselves but admit their customer service was good. I sent one back to Germany years ago because I could not get it to work. Being newish to it all I had loaded the wrong image but they returned it for free, all setup with some stations already loaded to get me going. Also included was a free USB drive.

Once I also bricked my GB Quad and send it to manufacturer, they fixed and sent back to me for free.
I still have DM8000 (more than 10 years) and it works like horse.
GB UHD Quad 4k still has couple of bugs which should be solved on drivers level (not issue of the image).
- it does not show videobitrate
- it does not show correctly signal level in dB and %.

The Dreambox I sent back, good service. Gigablue whilst not perfect I like it. Did think of another Dreambox but went for the Gigablue.

I've got a few E2 boxes but looking to get a nice new one,
the Mutant HD51 is at the top of the list so far and ticks a lot of boxes.
However, one important feature I want is to be able to use a E2 box without "StreamRelay"
I know the HD51 can do this but not sure about any others.
The DM800HD is supposed to but can't get it to work, I was going to order the Octagon SF4008 but that can't do it.

One thing I just noticed is my Miraclebox Micro Premium has blind scan, takes forever though!

Now looking at the Octagon too m8, is it just the lack of stream relay that turned you off it? I don't use it anyway.

Yes lack of "Stream Relay" even my DM800HD does that and I do use it often. That's a show stopper for me, also I read that the drivers are not that polished along with some other things and the HD51 is a better box, if you don't mind the motor issue.
