I intend to buy a 1m dish but with so many different manufacturers and models I am very confused on which one I should buy. Can anyone tell me which is the world's best 1m sattelite dish? Lightweight dish if possible?

Thanks. :-beer

Hi

I'm sorry if this post is not quite 100% in line with the thread but....

I would understand that a bigger dish might have bigger coverage than a smaller one but how different can be one dish from another of the same size?

I'm very new to satellites and with my cheap 80 cm dish I get a super quality picture and the signal is very good and excellent. What more could I get with the best dish in the world?

It is only on weaker satellite signals and or really bad weather that a better quality dish will show its superior performance. The differences are in the build quality, reflective properties and the accuracy of beam focus on the LNB feedhorn, if the reflector is not perfectly shaped and the reflective surface uneven, the LNB will not receive the full signal. I'm sure one of our dish experts will be able to enlarge on that though. :)

PS. Regarding the initial question in the thread, will have to leave that to the dish experts as well .:)
