I am looking at either :-

Extreme PVR ready or.

Technomate 8000 MC CI


both with 80cm dish.

I live in Newcastle upon Tyne , will I need a 1m dish or will 80cm be fine.

Also ( sorry for so many questions )...will my old 'elvis' programmer program cards for the above systems.

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Both receivers are good Neil, there are a couple of threads discussing them, you can use the search function to pick them up. Always go for as big a dish as you can get away with/afford. :)

If you go for the xtreme don't forget to read the faq before buying it:

Also don't load any pentacrypt version other than version 1.09 or even better, use tetracrypt version 1.0 as the xtreme's sometimes has a picture freeze problem when penacrypt is installed.
