Patrick Troughton gets my vote as he is the the first one I can remember.
(assistant Jamie ??) .

Jon Pertwee was good value though and I really liked the car, but now I can only hear him in a Wurzel Gummage voice whichever role I try to remember him in.

Tom Baker is however a real 'MENTALIST' and makes me smile when I hear his voice whatever he does

Up until now I would say John Pertwee was my favourite, but will wait until a few episodes to vote. :)

Just watched the first one and quite liked it, a bit of a different portrayal, but at first sight, quite well played. :)

William Harnell was the real scientific Doctor, short tempered, bombastic, self opinionated, "feather plucker" with a heart of gold that was well hidden.
Patrick Troughton bought some mirth and humanity into the roll which made the Doctor more acceptable, that is why I fanally voted for him.
After that the Doctors seemed to be "just part of the show" (that is my opinion).

Was Peter Cushing left of the list because he was a Dr Who? on film rather than a Dr Who? on tv?

As one of the Old F@rts I just had to vote for Bill Hartnell. He had me quite terrified at times, more than the monsters in fact.

It was difficult making the choice as the technical standards were obviously much lower than later Doctors' episodes but there were two storylines that have stayed with me over the years. The first is the one with Peter Butterworth as another Time Lord and the second is the one where the Doctor and his companions were stuck in a nightmare dimension where most of the sets were just blank! Very unsettling.

OK, if we're going to be picky then it should always be Doctor Who and never Dr Who.

Humax and Echostar receivers, Dragon, two dishes, one fixed 100cm dish pointing at Hotbird, and a 90cm motorised dish; plus a rubbish DVD recorder and cool DVD players, and lots of cables!! Oh, yeah, and a video recorder - best invention yet!!
Has to be Jon. :)

I like Tom Baker and the very First Dr. Who, which was in black-n-white. I like them all! Wish BBC America would start playing the series again.

I think that sounds like Mitch Benn from The Now Show. Could be wrong though.
