Hello, I am totally new to Dreambox and I have a couple of questions.
Currently I own an Echostar AD-3600 IP satellite. If you know what I am talking about, then you know that it is very old by now and that's why I want to buy the DM but I do not know wich one I should buy, the DM 7000, 7020 or 7025.
I saw that there are a lot more files (for viewing channels) for DM 7000 then for 7025, but the problem is that I can't buy a new DM 7000 anymore, because it's not being sold in the store. And I do not want to buy used one.
So what should I do, should I keep searching for DM 7000 or are the other versions also compatible with the "files" (to unlock channels)
Thanks.

Regards,
Russian

There is just as much support for the 7020 as there is for the 7000.

The 7020 is far better than the 7000, more memory and much more stable.

The 7025 uses Enigma 2 and has more of a learning curve.

Go for the 7020 you wont be sorry;)

I'm very happy with my 7025 - once you've learnt what it can do, it will amaze you!

It takes time and effort, but it's worth it. I'm even thinking of getting a second, as I'm fed up with waiting for the DM8000.

Hi billnot,

I have the 7020 great once you have loaded up you software and cams . Remember to add you keys and config files for the cams and you should be away up and running .
By the way I also have a Echostar AD-3600 IP satellite. I still use this to drive the +36v motor for my dish .
Not sure if you are upgrading to disceq motor?

Cheers

It's not me who's thinking of changing! All I did was to suggest the 7025 as an option. It's the only DB for me, as it's the only one that has two tuners - I'm currently using one as satellite and one as terrestrial. I really need four (3 sat plus one terrestrial). Roll on the 8000!
