It improves my laptop shuting down marginally. It all depends how much programs you have installed / running in your system.....
I like this kind of little utilities.... come to think of it I had already optimised my laptop for shutting down and booting up.... so I guess it should make more of a difference for other people.
rolfw i havent looked at this proggie but i have made my own its pretty easy.
rclick on the desktop:
highlight "new"
select "shortcut"
in the box type c:\windows\rundll.exe user.exe,exitwindows
"save"
walaaa click the shortcut and poof windows closes
MMMMmmmmmmm.... yes. of course.... I could write such a program but.... where do you want to run it from? Your bed, the car or perhaps the office's entrace? :-laugh
Only that any changes made during the session (with regard to desktop favourites and the like) are not saved and have to be reset next sesion and a proper shutdown performed in order to save them.
