WMV-mpeg2 issue please help

I have some wmv vids which i want to put on my 7000s.
I have used "any video converter" which has sucessfully transfered them to my stb problem is theres no sound I only have the option of an Ac3 codenc is this the trouble?? Does anyone know of a good mp2 converter thats free.
I have tried many programes now but none do it..
Any help on this is very much appreciated

I had exactly the same problem with mpeg2 .I ftp it to my dreambox with a c3 audio and it didnt work.After a long time i got it sorted.I can tell you how to do it with a dvd file .I think you could do it with wmv .Do you have project x and vlc player?
