Premium TV, the operator of official Web sites for football clubs, has signed an exclusive deal with joint owner NTL to provide football fans with broadband and related services. The company has created a bundled package for fans that consists of an NTL broadband connection and a free subscription to PTV's 'World' service, which provides them with daily audio and video content.

AOL has introduced a new email anti-virus service for its 2m UK subscribers in a bid to combat the rising tide of malicious code by automatically scanning attachments. The technology will be on the look out for viruses, worms and Trojan horses, and will attempt to remove any malicious code before sending the message. The user will be informed - via a pop-up window - if an attachment contains a virus and cannot be sent or received.

Nokia is to launch a new device that sends images directly to a mobile phone, one of the first uses of machine-to-machine technology. A wall-mounted surveillance camera dubbed 'the Observation Camera' that can send images directly to a mobile phone will be available this summer in the US with an imminent launch in the UK.
