Seen this and may interest S*y subscribers...
S*y's recent subscription repricing has brought the usual raft of cancellation and grumbling. I take the family package the comparable version provide by my cable company (ntl) is now cheaper at £19.75.
Called S*y to cancel my subscription and they offered me 3 months on my existing package at half price saving just over £30.
The trick is not to ask for a discount,wait till they offer it.
S*y didn't haggle they were keen to make me an offer and get me off the line.I suspect they are fighting a battle to hold subscriber numbers and are more willing than usual to short term discount to hold on to customers.
Others claim to have received 40%
