You mean because not cause!

Perhaps better to say sky is rather overpriced, as saying it's to expensive for most people, is likely to upset a few..

It's 'too' :-lol

No its Google cards, they will suggest stories based on your searches and web browsing habits, I use to get a lot of stories from STV because its obviously the local news channel for this region, but I right clicked that I did not want to see any content from STV, and haven't since, so at least it listens, unlike Scottish power! lol. I get a lot of Virgin media news stories because I like to laugh at the state of their business.

I quite honestly could not afford $ly these days, £22 a month for the base pack with no kids or documentary channels, f#@,k that, plus the rented equipment crap they have now, hate that idea, the thing that gets me are the people who think that Virgin will be cheaper for them for the same TV offerings, its not!

No from keeping an eye on the business news it appears not, they also used to market the fact that because their cable is nowt to do with the national BT structure of phone lines that you get broadband from them without the need for a phone line and thus obviously the line rental charges that come with it, they don't do that either now, it actual says in the offers ect "with line rental at £.." lol

You can have any service you wish from VM either phone - BB or TV separately without the need of any package type deal, You do of course pay a higher premium. I got the Vivid BB last year on its own with no TV or Phone line but obviously i pay that little bit more a month than a BB/Phone package, but that suits me

I've been with Sly since 2002 (when ITV Digital collapsed on its backside!). Up until just last year I was paying something like £120 for the full TV package, Sky Talk & Fibre Unlimited.

As the price was far too much I cancelled Movies & Sport but as of now I'm still paying a hefty £92.00 a month for Variety HD, Talk & Fibre Unlimited. Does this seem about right or can I get it for cheaper?

Looks like your paying for everyone else's discount, they had an offer last month for new subscribers full package (Sky Q) for £40 so yes your getting ripped off, Cancel the whole lot speak to retentions if you dont get any joy you normally get an offer before the 30 day cancellation period or a couple of weeks after you cancel.

you could always ask a family member in the same household to sign up as new subscriber as well

Thanks guys, big wake up call. I'm obviously being mugged off by them so will give them a call tonight.

Best way to approach? Is it worth just going straight in with "I want to cancel"?
