In slow motion

Sagan has been disqualified for what looks like a last ditch pass that could never have succeeded.

It would be down to Cavendish to confirm 'elbow' contact or not

It was a blatant elbow he could have killed someone, this picture says it all, his elbow is stuck out like a wing deserves what he got imho.

Cavendish is already on the canvas barrier at the time of that image

From somebody that knows, Rob Hayles

"When you look at it he was off balance as well. His bike was coming from underneath him and so to balance himself his elbow came out, just to get his centre of gravity back up, and unfortunately Cavendish was there.

"We don't think the elbow actually made contact , but if it did he was already heading to the barriers. So it kind of made things look worse than it was."

Once again, Cavendish is already on the canvas barrier at the time of that image, but you need reasonable peripheral vision to notice it.

Nothing wrong with my eyes, as mentioned he deserves his ban, his elbow should have been in a racing position same as everyone around him, I agree with the race commissure decision that's all I have to say on the matter.

Cavendish used to be an all out expert on elbows.
