I found this under the cat basket earlier.

Unopened until the images today.

Anyone that installs motorised systems from a decade or so ago will know these outperform any of the modern stuff. The manufacturer says it is 'optical' but to be honest I think it has a reedswitch inside..

This one is specially designed for use as an elevation motor for inclined orbit tracking systesm, the upper eyelet is drilled for a bolt with a sleeve.

Have a look at the images.

£20 secures it, with £6 for UK postage

Stephen! I see you are doing "total clearance" on your SAT-stuff! Is that only a clearence or change of the orientation?! Nice offers BTW, I feel sorry I am so faraway.

Not a total clearance, I will always have stuff kept back, but the bits I have put on the site today are highly unlikely to be put to use, just because they are incompatible with the equipment I have been servicing or installing in the last three years.

I found the elevation actuator wasn't in the company inventory, possibly it came as part of another H to H system, plus I know I have mislaid a model that supersedes the 1224 earlier, which is worrying since it was in a tea-chest sized box.

I had totally forgotten about the Jaeger H to H that TJ took this morning to be honest, until I was looking for something else non-work related in the garage.

I still have one brand new H100 DiSEqC polarmount here (the twin of the one advertised below) , but I have also spotted a very - very - high quality polarmount for use with an offset dish, wrapped in a curtain, and will be checking its credentials tomorrow during daylight. If it has a similar movement characteristics I might combine the two.

Depending what size dish it will take, the polar mount in a curtain could be coming my way.....

The curtain could go up in the lounge as well - job done.

I would not recommend the curtain, I (well the house) had a mice infestation a couple of years ago.

Am I correct in understanding that SMO36 is the same inside as the 1224 but with a different shell?

i.e. is it the same as the 1224 "Jumbo"?

CJ,

No, it is a more powerful motor and can handle larger dishes than a "beefed up" 1224. There was one for sale on a German forum about a year ago, first time I had ever seen one offered for sale. I think the asking price was around €500 euro if I recall correctly.

Good price for such a motor. Don't think I have a need for one but would be good to have in a box of spares!

Yes, a rare and valuable motor that should easily realise a very high price.

That is the one that is currently missing from my garage, boxed and unused. There was one issue with them in the post casting, they have been known to fracture under extreme weather conditions, either cold or high winds.

I hope it turns up at some point.
