Might chuck a card in a PC in the AV Rack, but want to watch it on my main PC?
I don't want to use VNC Or Remote desktop, but want to be able to change channels and scan etc from the main PC as well.

Does anyone else do this? I know I can stream with VLC but I wonder if there are other options?

I use tvheadend running on another machine, that’s running Linux mint.

Then I use kodi tvheadend client built in the tv.

Mine is set for 28.2°E and Freeview.

I also use my enigma2 box as a “fake” hdhomerun device Plex dvr can then record tv again this is on 28.2°E

I also have a genuine hdhomerun device the uk version is Freeview only.

The raspberry pi makes a very good tv end player using various bits of software, and also highly compatible with a lot of different protocols re streaming from a set top box.

Plus they are cheap and fun.

Dvb dream might let you stream it.

I know crazy scan has a stream option, just not to sure about the remote operation without being sat in front of the “other” pc to set the stream going.

I have 2 tbs pcie cards, 1 in a windows machine in the front room (that pc has been tied up with other duties for a while) and the other card my most recent purchase is in my tvheadend server.

The head end server also runs virtual radar server, I have a pi in the garage with the aerial connected to it.

I use a 1gb plug adapter to feed it in to my network, that way all the drivers and feeder programs are running 24/7 on the Pi.

A raspberry pi can run tv head end, I have seen some one use a pi and usb sat tuner to stream their dish.

It was in an effort to remove as much coax as possible, they also mounted it under the dish in a water proof box.

So really the worlds your oyster :Y

I had a brainwave, I will replace my Inverto Black Ultra Single for a Twin then put a TBS USB on my PC.

I have always run twin coax cables and only ever use one tuner on GB Quad 4k. The spare cable I use for my Dr HD1000s meter as the setup in E2 is a bit off at times. Thinking of the TBS5927....... another distraction and I have a wild flower garden to do and that takes time.

Anyone know if any of these Inverto Unicable LNB's are as good as the Black Ultra, looks an interesting concept.

Bugger, been wondering the same, would've been good to hear your thoughts after you got one LOL
I checked the specifications and on paper they seem a bit worse. Interestingly the Twin has the best specs compared to the single, which confirms people's findings on here from their testing.

I meant the black ultra twin vs single, looked back and read my measage again it wasn't that clear. But yeah the unicable don't seem as good. Can't find any real world reviews on them.

TBS 5520SE Arrived this morning, amazingly quick delivery from Amazon seeing as I ordered it yesterday evening!
Having a play around with DVB Dream and CrazyScan.

I can confirm this works fine with my Stab Motor, this has a Y shaped USB cable for extra power and has some boost circuitry inside to give 13/18v
Looks a nicely made box and would be perfect to use with a Laptop as well as it needs no external power.
