I currently have a Sony 50W829 which has an incredible picture, it was very highly rated when I bought it in 2014.
I quite fancy getting a 4K set, but I'm worried that I will struggle to get a set with blacks as deep as this,
Having owned plasma's for years it took me a long time before I got an LCD TV as I was never happy with the black levels.

What 55"+ 4K TV's have amazing near perfect blacks? I see no backlight bleed at all on this when I watch TV in darkness or any hint of backlight.
I do not wish to go OLED, I want to stick with LCD.

or if you can afford it ZD9

Expensive but worth every penny

I have been waiting for a price drop for a while now and currently have 2 55X8509C which are excellent

EDIT: just noticed you do not want OLED

I have a Sony LCD TV and I am quite happy with it.
The big question is what are you going to do with your current TV and is 4K really worth to pay the price?

No, oled is no good for me, I'd burn it in a month.

Yeah Im really happy with my 1080p Sony, it's just a bit on the small side, ideally I want 60"+
I had a projector in my old house and I can't get used to this, also at those sizes 4K would be nice.

This one will go in the Bedroom where I'm struggling to see the 32" in there that's on the wall and I'll put the 32" above the PC.
