Hi, I have just set up my old Technomate 1000D, sorted all the channels the way I wanted them and saved the changes, which took me about an hour. I pressed the FAV button, and now all my sorted channels are mixed up again. To save the receiver + remote being thrown out the window, can I perhaps delete all the favourite lists? Any other ideas?
I don't have the nerves to do it all again and would lose the will to live in case someone else presses the FAV button again.

Any solutions highly appreciated,

Tina

I had a Technomate that started doing silly things, it was the power supply capacitors going, so it possibly could be that.

Another possibility is you have to many channels i.e more than the memory can handle, so it is corrupting your FAV lists??

Hi Scopus, thanks for your reply. As far as I can judge, the power supply does not seem to be an issue. I have nearly 1000 channels on Astra1, but only use the roughly 50 free ones that are of interest for me. After sorting these, everything worked fine ... until I pressed the FAV button out of curiosity. Then my whole channel list from Astra1 disappeared and changed to a short list for the Hotbird satellite.
Going into the Installation menu - Satellite Setup, I still have Astra1 chosen in the drop down menu, but in the Edit Channels menu all my previously found Astra1 channels are missing. I am now doing an Auto Navigation channel search and see if my previously saved channel list will magically appear again.

Thanks,

Tina

Yay!!! Lucky escape! The channels are back, and my sorting order as well. So I just have to train my family NOT to press the FAV button, otherwise I have to rescan the Astra1 channels. It might be a bug in the remote, which is a universal remote for the Technomate 1000 series (not only for 1000D) and which I just purchased yesterday.

:D

Ahh yes the FAV button on the universal remote must be a different command. You could backup your list to a USB stick just in case..
