Gone through the roof, SSS are asking £129 for an Inverto Black Pro C120 Quad output LNB. They are also asking the same price for an Invacom C120 Quad output LNB. Presumably the production from the factory has fallen off a cliff or they have stopped making them and sellers are cashing in on the rarity value of existing stock.

More proof that the satellite enthusiast game is finished, dead in the water. The survivors are clinging to upturned large satellite dishes as makeshift lifeboats after the IPTV flood caused a mass extinction event of home satellite enthusisasts.

That's SSS pricing for you, not unlike a couple of other 'reputable' suppliers. Is there a reason for not using one of the forum sponsors ?

In reality the only thing that has changed, insofar as Western Europe is concerned is the efficiency of online suppliers, one in particular, along with programme content of their own that does not require a dish.

CH,

No reason at all except none of the forum sponsors have stock of C120 quad output LNB's.

I only found two sponsors in the forum advertising sponsors special offers. If the forum only has two sponsors and none of them has stock of a C120 quad output LNB then it is further evidence that the game is over for the home satellite enthusiast.

Do we really only have two sponsors (SystemSat & World of Satellite) or was I looking in the wrong area?

A quick search brought up an Invacom Quad-Output C120 for £47.95, but when I tried the info option the store closed in 2017.
Most of the other hits state that the products are no longer available.
It looks like most stores are possibly switching to unicable LNB's, and quite a lot list only Sky rubbish.

Yes, I found the same, online sites still have the product listed but it is generally out of stock or at a high price.

If you have a duff Invacom (and there are lots, I think), pull the C120 flange off it, chop the scalar from an Octagon and fit the flange. In the case of singles and duals you'll probably get better performance.

You need to register to get prices but they are still listed here Solutions Group (UK) Plc - Webshop

Are you specifically looking at the one model or would another Inverto do, with a flange?

Only in this part of the world, flange LNBs are still available on the continent.20180927_194731.jpg

Inverto Black Pro or Invacom are the two C120 quad output options I was looking for. Apart from Inverto and Invacom I cannot recall seeing a C120 quad output LNB from any other manufacturer for a long time?

Whilst Invacom have for the past decade attempted to move into the commercial market, sacrificing domestic models and designing fibre / Ku/KA hybrid LNBs, Inverto does remain in the consumer field, at least on paper. Their website still promotes the quad LNB btw.

Quad Flange 40mm LNB

There was a lot of noise (sic) a couple of years ago about the advantages of four port over twins and singles type LNBs, wrt stability and fringe reception, has anyone recently bolted each of the Inverto C120 range of devices onto the same dish one after the other to verify this is actually the case ?
