SkyStar HD USB not supported.

Thanks a lot CrazyCat for your fast response, but I guess I had seen in the forum that SkyStar PCIe type is supported. My Skystar USB HD belong to the same family, am I wrong?

Your HD version has a different demodulator chip, not compatible with Crazyscan.

I have the same device you have. Llew is right, Demod wouldn't support it.

Then I have to go to plan B, ie to buy new module.
Here your advise is required.I did some exercises I found ideas about the below TV cards

or
TBS5927

please mention if there are any other options.
Yours advises are appreciated

Thank you for trusting in my options for devices, but any well-intentioned advice is to be viewed critically, because its beneficiary is the one who pays. That's I recommend you read my review(#32) posted on the topic dedicated to TBS 5927.In fact to convince yourself that you made a good choice, you should read the whole topic.
I have both devices,5925 and 5927,but the latter is much better at the reception and is much more reliable than the first one.
I hope you don't regret your choice :Y

Of course it matters the search speed and locking the signal, but more importantly, from my point of view,is finding active transponders and the accuracy of the parameters found!I think that for dxer this should be the main criterion for choosing a tuner, the rest are secondary.
I don't know if it is necessary a meeting via TeamViewer to find out search time of 5925 and/or 5927.For that,Crazyscan help us,showing how long it took the search and the locking signal.
I did Blindscan tests with both devices on a satellite(at 90.0° E) that has both TV and data transponders. The search steps were the same for both, 2.6 MHz.
And here's the result:
tbs5925_10800-11700 H_2.6MHz-search & locked time=9.88 sec,
tbs5927_10800-11700 H_2.6MHz-search & locked time=3.40 sec.
Obviously tbs5927 is more powerful than 5925 to this chapter, but also in others.I don't know what else to prove!?!
