DMAX and DMAX+1 will be going FTA soon. These channels are currently encrypted as part of Discovery's offering on Sky.

Keep an eye on 12382H (Astra 2E UK spot beam)

SID 2916 - DMAX (currently encrypted)
SID 2905 - DMAX+1 (not present yet)

Freesat data first appeared last week, with the services formally added to the SDT today.

Too bad 12382 is the weakest one for me.
The programming looks pretty much like Quest...

First time I saw on Travel channel the announcement of the replacement...
Anyone knows if Dmax will stay on UK beam or switch to Europe Beam?

Travel Channel (+1) is currently on European Beam, and it was there for as far I can remember, so if Dmax directly replaces Travel Channel maybe would make sense to switch.
That would be great news for fringe reception, as it is currently, the TP 12382 is hardest to get even with clear sky.

DMAX (and +1) will stay on 12382H (UK beam).

Once Discovery+1 moves to 11038V, there should be enough capacity on that TP for the former Scripps services (Travel, Travel+1, Food Network, Food Network+1) to move to it. Whether this happens presumably depends on the timing of their contract with Arqiva. Quest HD is another option.

As I suspected, Travel Channel and Food Network are migrating to Discovery's UK spot TP, filling its spare capacity.

12382H DVB-S 27500 5/6

2904 - Travel Channel
2908 - Travel Channel+1
2910 - Food Network
2912 - Food Network+1

All FTA and full SD - but bad news for those struggling to receive this transponder.
