This is my favourite song at work. For reasons lost in the depths of time I provide technical support to our music dept as well as fixing computers. The kids break
lot of guitar strings and I get to restring them. Unfortunately my musical ability is none existant (Im not alowed to join the choir
) so the guitars are always
miles out of tune. So I wander into the classroom and my partner in (musical) crime always asks how well Ive tuned it this time. So I always give it a strum and break into a tuneless rendition of "You fill up my senses / like a night in the forest / like the mountains in spring time / like a walk in the rain......." On one occasion I belted the strings too hard & broke one - I just carried on as one less string wasnt going to make much different to my musical number & probably improved it
Or sometimes for a change I try "its a hard days night....."
or occasionally "sugar baby love...."
For some reason the kids always look completely baffled at this strange interruption to the class.
