Hi...

Looking for more information on getting BT Sports in Tenerife, Is it possible?

I have a valid subscription card but think my dish maybe too small, tried all frequencies from KoS

Perhaps someone who lives here can help

Cheers

BT Sports is on the UK beam. You *may* get some frequencies with a 3 or 4m dish but no guarantees.

Bit late replying. In Fuerteventura you can get BT sports on a quality 4.5 mtr dish. Not much margin for rain fade but certainly do-able although may have to sacrifice some transponders on the UK beam ie maximise 2E then will struggle with 2F & 2G etc and vice versa.
Tenerife was in the past about 1dB or so stronger so a 4.5 should be good enough but be prepared to tweak it a couple of times a year.

Hi mate, 4,5m dish? Do you already have one? The bigger dish I have seen for individual purposes is the 3m famaval (the one with the extension)
Do you have it installed in a block? If so, please attach some pictures I would be glad to seen them.

Thanks

I had a website from a manufacturer, close (SePatriot) ==>New.. Skybrokers - Antennas

Look at the 4.5 meters and get in touch.
Prices .... 6,000$ as I remember, good luck.

Here they are offset 4 meters. 4.000€, 10.7Ghz-50.7dBi / 11.3 GHz - 51.2 dBi / 12.6 GHz - 52.1 dBi
The 180cm offset is mounted by a friend in Madrid and very well.

Is that ATM ("at this moment" = "right now"!), and from to what/where would such a microwave link connect ????

Yes, we had an IPTV "provider" spamming this Forum a few years ago.

They usually look horrendous when the user has limited bandwidth available

A few places have a private satellite head end with a big dish. They then sell subscriptions to folk and distribute it over microwave relays
