They're FTA most of the time (as long as programmes without rights issues are being aired), I'm guessing you watch them on Eutelsat 9ºE with a FTA satellite receiver? Duna TV/M1/M2 etc.?

To be able to watch the encrypted programmes, you'd need a card from MTVA/Duna and a Conax-compatible receiver or Conax CAM (your receiver or TV with satellite tuner must have a CI+ slot to be able to use a CAM). I don't know where you can get the cards from online, but presumably they are available to buy in Hungary if you have friends/family there? The card would be bought from Duna/MTVA themselves I guess.

Cards / cams must just be from Hungarian contacts - I cant recall ever seeing them available in an online shop.

Yes I’m on eutelsat 9e, but DUNA and M1 are still coming up as scrambled even tho I am set on the satellite. Is there a specific box needed?

Both of those channels are marked $ but are in fact Free to Air like most of the Hungarian TV here,
Some Football matches are encrypted.

Yea I thought that, which is why the scrambled message is extremely puzzling to me.

Thanks for all the info above but I am still unable to receive those channels. My dish is set to 9e with a good signal as it picks up the DUNA and M1 channels, however they all say scrambled. Is there a firmware update on my box that could be the issue? I am using a spiderbox 7000.

hello Lee please re-scan 11958 V 27500 check again you can find in the list double version of the channel. e.g. m4sport and m4sport $
if you receive that tp you are able to receive all the channels of the tp

Ok thanks. I can’t get my head around why mine continues to say scrambled service.

on many receivers you choose between "FTA search" OR "$ search"...(encrypted/premium...)
these channels should be searched as an "$ search" ,otherwise ,they ll be ignored by an "FTA search";
the ident will read "$" but they 'll be FTA all the same

Try deleting transponder 11958 V 27500 then add it & re-scan All on this transponder.

Make sure you're using the services labelled 'Europa'. They point to the same streams as the ones that are marked as encrypted, but are flagged as FTA (they also switch to showing a 'no international rights for this programme' message when an encrypted programme airs on one of the channels).

I'm watching with Linux Enigma2 HD receiver the hungarian channels, they all just work fine.
