Can anyone send me a link to the most recent Crazyscan download ?

I had a go at installing one earlier on the Win7 PC (32 bit with a TBS8920 card) , but I get the attached message.

The original TBS software and channel recording works fine btw, if a little slow which is why I'm thinking it may20200415_192723.jpg be a driver compatibility issue.

Thanks in advance

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Ref QTCDore4.dll: check if that is actually in C:\Windows/System32 - in which case, it's not being recognized by Win 7.

If it is there then try opening a Command prompt and using (IIRC) one of the "regserv" commands (can't remember which one ATM!) to "register" that dll - after that then maybe the error message won't crop up.

OTOH, if the dll isn't in System32 then try to google and download that, put it in System32, "register" it as above and then try the original process again

Already done that, though what do you mean by registering a dll ?

Doesn't QTCDore4.dll just sit in the crazyscan folder? Is it not one of the 'dependency' files that have to be downloaded as well as the main files and added to the crazyscan folder? Been a while since I used crazyscan, but that's how I remember getting it to work.

The ReqLibs files need to be located in the Crazy Scan root folder. It is not just a download of the Crazy Scan rar file, it also needs the ReqLibs rar file unpacking into the root folder

AFAIK and in short, sometimes a dll is downloaded to System32 but not actually "registered" in the WIN Registry - and thus it is not recognized by the App loading process. Therefore you then have to use the regserve process (probably with switches) to get it "loaded" into the Registry - google "register a dll" and that should tell you what to do.

OTOH, given what @Dave5118 just said about where that dll should be located, then, having opened the Command prompt, you might have to navigate to that folder in order to then successfully run the regserve command.

PS: I now "bow" to moonbase's far superior knowledge of this subject:-clap

I've never had to run the regserve command on crazyscan or associate files as far as I can remember though.

Thanks for the answers, the original question was in part the issues, but I may not have the most recent, or even official Crazyscan file here.

It might not even be for a Microsoft operating system. So where might I find the correct download ?

I had the same problem getting it to work a few years ago when I first installed it. There were no clear instructions at the time but I think there was a topic on this forum about it that helped me resolve the issue?

...to which must also be added StreamReader.dll & .ini.
Here's what the Crazyscan folder looks like:

Is anyone else having a similar issue with the latest StreamReader v.1.2.4.26?

Blindscanning TPs in Crazyscan shows zero dB in found frequency/SRs :confused

The Monitor shows the correct dBs for each locked TP.

Reverting to my last StreamReader gives the correct dBs.
