Hi lads,

Just a quickie for you, on my front of house Orbital 1m dish i have an inverto multiconnect kit installed with the slim line lnb's

I am toying with the idea of changing it for a more conventional multi lnb bracket and replacing with Inverto Black Ultras

Do you guys think there would be a noticeable difference in gain between the Inverto slim lines and the Inverto black Ultras

Thanks in advance :)

I would say, YES, it makes sense to install IBUs. Most likely you will get noticeable increase of signal.

Thanks for the speedy reply mate, i have always used IBU's and have them on my other 2 dishes

I have been slightly restricted on this Orbital dish because i had lost the original lnb holder and didnt want to pay for a new one and then a bracket as well, but i have seen a compatible 4 multi lnb holder that will go straight in the end of the boom arm

Your opinion is appreciated, thanks :)

IBUs have a stronger output than the slim-line. I have both types, and the IBU is at leat 5 dB "louder".

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Unless you know you are missing channels, under heavy rain or in decent weather on your system, you will not see any improvement.

Spend your excess money wisely on a nice motor and an even nicer installer.

What's the point? Different conversion gain has nothing to do with sensitivity. To deal with different conversion gain each front end uses AGC (automatic gain control) :)
