Cheers for the speed of response :)

Am on the .52 firmware.

Should I try and upload the new firmware first, as given above, or simply have another go at loading the most recent software update?

The set up is at my other half's, so have left it on standby. Will have a go with several different USB sticks when I'm next up there & report progress!

Annoying thing is that it appeared to be working fine – good signal, etc. and still receiving most of the channels. I just got bored of being told that there were new channels every time I turned it on. That lead to me trying to retune it, doing a factory reset and the current position of now not being able to access any of the Freesat channels...

If you mean U7.52 that's the loader. You can find out the firmware version by going into setup in the menu. It's in there somewhere!

Update. Tried a couple of USB sticks with no joy, then noticed in the instructions that they recommended using one <1GB. Tried using a 1GB stick and, hey presto, all updated and working - who'd have thought reading instructions would help!!!

ps Had to do a factory reset after the update to get it to accept the post code...

Many thanks for the help :)
