The odd thing is i could never lock this one with the "circular" l.n.b. only the normal one? ... it was another two transponders that i managed to lock on the 1.8 with circular .. :-lol

Did you change lnb setting at the time ?

My "circular" l.n.b was just a universal C120 (inverto Black pro i think) with a plate in the channel master feed ...

Hi- C.J
Is it an Iverto ? -- would you like to sell it.
or are you wishing to hang on to it, and send it me just for testing ?

I have little use for it so you can have it. It's an Inverto yes - 40mm one.

That are settings for 36*E Circular I have in my receiver. ScreenHunter_72 Sep. 29 22.56.jpg
But, if somebody in need of Circular LNB, I can look in local shop and mail it, I do not think they are too expensive.... maybe 5EUR, plus another 5 EUR for mail.

Those circulars are 11700 to 12750 only, I believe.

As the weather cleared this afternoon and i,m probably going to be out and about most of this weekend i put the universal/circular setup on this dish ...
No more of the Russian transponders were gained ... just got the three (now with a decent margin) that had very occasional/ marginal lock on the 1.8 1n the past .. the only difference being that 12092 now locks on the circular setup and is now the strongest -- where previously it was the weakest on circular and would only lock with a linear l.n.b. on wrong polarity ...
i tried 3 different C120 universals on the c.m. feed + plate
Inverto white tech
Inverto black pro
and Invacom quad
to be honest they are about equal ... the black pro had 0.1 db over the other two .
Such a pity that everything is encrypted here on these three transponders :(:(

I am still amazed that you get this so far out of official footprint. This is my Holy Grail to get in the UK but getting absolutely sod all.

Ironic that the centre of footprint for the Russian beam is hovering above my home town....

Nelson what's your sub Saharan beam like? I bet you'd get a lot more of the Russian beam if frequency reuse wasn't there. I get 12245H and 12054H for DSTV (nice to see old names like Supersport scanning in).

Multichoice Supersport. Used to be part of Scandinavian package along with things like FilmNet.
